Edge Men's Academy

President and founder Stuart Brown leads the EDGE Academy Coaching and College Recruiting in every aspect. Stu is a long-time lacrosse player and executive, having served in the following roles:

Rochester Nighthawks - AGM -  3X NLL CHAMPION (2012,2013,2014)

Toronto Nationals - MLL - President/GM - 2009 MLL Champions 

Team Canada Mens Box - AGM -  2011 Gold Medal 

Team Canada Mens Field -  GM - 2010 Silver, 2014 Gold

Team Canada U20 Mens Field - GM-  2012 - Silver, 2016 Silver

Eric was born and raised in Keswick, Ontario before going on to attend the prestigious Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania where he was named team captain and MVP.  As a prep school student, he generated 261 points, (178 goals and 83 assists) in just two seasons with the Cougars. Eric was a heavily recruited athlete who chose to play his NCAA career at Canisius University where he was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team 3 times and became a leading contributor to the Griffins midfield.  Eric currently works as a teacher. He has been on the same recruiting journey that EDGE players are embarking on. We know he brings a lot to the table for this team.  

Alex is an Edge Alumni who got recruiting to play NCAA D1 at The OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. He has now returned to Edge to give back to his community and serve as a Coach for our Men's Academy. Alex bring a wealth of NCAA experience and knowledge to the Academy. His excellent resume includes:

Receiving Academic All Big 10 Honours two times. Leading The Buckeyes with 28 goals as a junior. Playing on Team Canada in 2022.

Matt was born and raised in Mississauga and earned a Bachelor of Science while studying Management Information Systems at R.I.T. (Rochester Institute of Technology). As a player, Matt was a hard-working, athletic, and very intelligent defender who had a great ability to get extra possessions for the Tigers. In 65 games he earned 29 points, retrieved 197 loose balls, and had 48 caused turnovers. In his Senior season, Matt was 2nd on the team with 93 ground balls. Matt epitomizes what we call High Impact Players. Players who drive positive possession numbers for their teams. The EDGE philosophy is to Drive Positive in everything we do on and off the field. Matt is an extremely intelligent, analytical thinker who helps EDGE athletes on and off the field. 

A committed and knowledgable Coach who focuses on our 2009/2010's Men's Academy team. Been working with Edge for many years and has a deep knowledge of box and field lacrosse. 

An elite field and box lacrosse player with experience across all levels. Most recently playing in the NLL with the Saskatchewan Rush. In college he won multiple NCAA DIII National Champion  with RIT Men’s Lacrosse.  Alongside his national championship wins, he was honoured with accolades like USILA First Team All-American. Ryan brings years of experience to our coaching team.
